MPLS VPN print

MPLS VPN corporate network is a modern, robust and fully manageable service enabling transmission of data between Customer’s locations with the use of the IP protocol and safe, separate MPLS backbone network.

NASK is rendering the service with the se of its own MPLS network, offering five data transmission CoS (Class of Service) with guaranteed quality parameters. Such an approach allows for conflict-free and effective cooperation between many various services and applications (corporate telephony, ERP/CRM system, Internet access) within one, efficiently operating corporate network.

Why MPLS VPN?

  • Versatility – the MPLS VPN service allows to construct one network to support all types of data transferred in-house with guaranteed quality of such transfers,
  • Guaranteed quality –for the needs of data transmission under the MPLS VPN service, NASK has established a separate NASK MPLS network; every kind of information transferred with the use of the MPLS VPN service is assigned to one (CoS), which makes it possible for NASK to guarantee that best possible quality parameters are maintained. In addition, such transmission parameters as package delay, package loss percentage or jitter are monitored on a continuous basis, and their level is guaranteed in the SLA,
  • Security – the MPLS VPN service fully separate the Customers’ traffic within the MPLS NASK backbone network from traffic in the public network. The level of security offered by VPN MPLS corporate networks is similar to that of Frame Relay/ATM,
  • Costs – MPLS technology allows for the most effective use of the available bandwidth.

Technical specifications:

  • The NASK MPLS network is designed in line with the recommendations provided for in IETF RFC4364 and is based on CISCO 7206 VXR routers,
  • Support of five Classes of Service (CoS):
    • RT Voice - for VoIP transfers,
    • RT Video - for video stream transfers,
    • BusInt - for interactive application support, e.g. SAP,
    • BusLAN - for critical application support, e.g. data base replication,
    • Best Effort - other traffic, mostly Internet access,
  • Access - through the NASK - VECTA STAR radio system or through a dedicated copper cable or optic fiber connection.
