Backup VPN is a fully managed service that enables transmission of data between Customer’s sites in emergency situations. NASK’s Backup VPN is provided directly with the use of the IP and a dedicated backbone network to ensure that the service is secure and reliable.

With this service, Customers are provided with backup communication for any provider's WAN based on Ethernet, IP MPLS, FR, ATM or SDH technologies. The service includes:

• Linking a NASK router with the primary operator's router – both routers are seen as a single virtual device with the same IP address in the Customer’s network;
• Dynamic routing – on the provided router, NASK configures the dynamic routing protocol to ensure the continuance of data transmission in case of failure of any component of the Client’s primary network;
• Different methods of accessing the Backup VPN service – Client’s sites can be connected to the NASK network via SDH or Ethernet technologies.
